| Hello hi,
Just joined this site. I currently own a 2003 E60 530i, Olivine with dynamic drive, active steering Bi-Xenon lights, 18" BMW factory rims, black leather interior, sunroof. I previously owned a Laguna Seca Blue E46 M3 - which my ex-wife made me sell and I am currently looking to trade in my E60 for either an E60 M5 or an E93 M3.
The E60 has been a fantastic car as I have done over 100,000 kms in it now - and for a normal sedan, handles amazingly well, is remarkably economical to run, extremely reliable and very comfortable for long, long trips of 1000 kms (Brisbane to Sydney for eg). The only comment I would make is that the camber settings tend to cause premature wear on tyres, particularly rears.
I am looking to trade because I want to get back into a sports based BMW, with a true manual gearbox, rather than steptronic - plus, my little girl is 7 now so I can go back to a 2 door coupe without any drama.
Hope my post isn't to anal or trivial - not sure what to write. What I am actually trying to find out is where the engine oil filter is located as I am about to do my own oil change. I have the OEM oil filter with seal rings, the car is jacked up ready to drain the sump, but can't figure out where the engine oil filter "lives". The vehicle manual doesn't even mention the word engine oil filter - which is really helpful. Can anyone help??
thanks
