Hello everyone, just wanted to stop in and say hello. My name is Tim, I have a 1992 318i that is pig slow. Somethings wrong with it and I cant seem to figure it out.

sorry tim all 318"s are pig slow,you should have test ridden it before parting with your hard earned.
Where are you based,maybe i can point you in the direction of someone who can fettle it.

The car has over 200,000 miles on it, it gets great gas mileage, but it wont hardly get out of its own way. It simply doesnt have any power, however on the interstate, it holds its own. I had it serviced when I firtst got it. Since I have tried to figure out whats wrong with it. Can someone give me an example of a car with the same amount of power so Im not expecting more than what I should. I am in Birmingham, Alabama.

drive by keeping your revs between 2800 - 3500rpm. you might be pleasantly surprised

my 1992 318i goes to 180km at 5500rpm... im happy with it since the car doesnt have air bags dont push too hard lol.
