Hello everyone. I'm new here and currently located in Germany. I just purchased a 93 BMW 318i and its completely stock other than the HU. I was browsing for some after market parts and stumbled upon this site. I know very little about BMW's and also have a lot to learn about cars in general. I look forward to using this community for information and advise while tuning my vehicle.

I've been doing some reading, but I guess I already have the ellipsoids headlights since its a European spec. There not that bright though, so I was looking to upgrade those first. I hate driving on the autobahn and not being able to see all the turns good. So first I want to upgrade the front lights, suspension, then I think I'll start on the engine.

I'm looking for a pair with DDE and I guess I could clear out the corners while I'm at it. And other than that I just need to know what a good set up might be for HID. Anyone that has a nice clean set up with some pics and a DIY. Any suggestions where to start? I can possible get things shipped from the states here to my APO BOX on the base, but if anyone knows where I can order parts out of Germany that would be great.

DDE's are daylight demon eyes, similar to the angel eyes found on newer BMWs. The little light rings that curround the projector lens.

For HiDs you need to make sure you have projector lens (im sure you do) and go with watever temperature you like.

Nah you dont. It started in 2001 on the 5 series. The 3 series didnt get them til the 2006 e90 models.
