Hello everyone, This is Joe & Shannon from Central Florida!! We are somewhat new here but are here for advice with our BMW... We love speed and money is not an object!! We would love if someone would point us in the right direction for upgrades!! Getting rid of the car is not a possibility!! I purchased this car for my wife some time ago and she loves it!! Its a 1997 328is Coupe with the Automatic/manual Transmission... 2.8 Liter
So far we have done a Intake Kit to the engine / it needs so much more
As far as appearance I have done way more!!
Thanks, J & S

Not a big fan of those tail lights. What are you looking for? Serious power? Some grunt? A little more pep? Some german power? Rice? Pancakes? Waffles?
Welcome to Bimmerwerkz.

Hey guys, Thanks for the Welcome's .... As far as the transmission goes: Its the Automatic with the Manual switch, supposed to make it so you can go through the gears and the tranny will perform as close as possible to the Manual ( I suppose ) So, I know thats a bad thing: Manual over automatic is the way to go... As far as the tranny: what can I do to beef it up? I'm looking to smoke the tires off of it and Id like to gain speed off the line as well.. Like I said above: we have 17's - Intake - Tint - DVD - Lots of neons & Strobe Exterior lighting and more!! I have just gotten really bored with the speed and am wandering about : bored out pistons, turbo, which exhaust is best for sound and HP, pulleys, what can I do now that will make a dramatic differance? I know there are lots of questions like this in the forum: I have read so many of them and just dont know where to begin!! THANKS for your help - J & S

welcome! a turbo would run you at least 5-6k realistically for a stage 1 kit. If you like going on twisty roads, maybe get some suspension work. And you could also get a nice exhaust?

you could start with a tranny swap to get rid of the manual, then drop the suspension for a little better handling through the twisties. If you bore the block, go with oversized pistons, ect, you might as well get a stroker kit and make it real fun. The kit would also help you if you decide to turbo it. The diesel rods are quite a bit more stout than stock rods. If you are serious about a turbo kit, check with Boost Performance out of TX. They pretty much specialize in custom installs.
