Hello 1996 M3

I've owned this car for 7 years and I have thought about getting rid of many time but I can't do it. It's like a member of our family. My 8 year old daughter always says I love the yellow car. I have a few problems that I need some help with. I like to do as many repairs myself as I can. First, the airbag light is on. Second, after the ignition is turned and then turned off you can hear what sounds like a fan running at a very low speed or you could say it sounds like buzzing. If you open the hood and pull the 5amp #31 fuse and reinstall it the sound stops and the battery does not go dead.

WelcomeWERKZ.....jAMES.....That sound you here, is an small electric fan mounted behind the a/c control unit..... it is used for the the climate control, it draws air past the climate control sensor...... It normally runs for a few minutes after you turn the ignition off.......This is normal, maybe your battery is on its way out.......
As for the airbag light, I purchased the resetting tool, it paid for itself the second time I used it.......post some pics of your ride......
johnny,
SRS (Airbag) Scan and Reset tool
