Just purchased a 2004 330 CiC last week with just 61K miles and really like it so far except for the %#*&#@ glove box not opening. Saw this covered in one of the threads but I don't think there's an accessible cable release for the convertible.
Use the key to try and mess with the lock while trying to open. this sometimes works. the latches go bad on these constantly. happed to my E46 as well. I had to take it all apart in order to get it open to replace the latch. the latch replacement is easy. it's getting the glove box open that's a little tricky.
