Guten Abend everyone,

For many years I am an active member of a variety of mostly German and European BMW forums. Over the years my family and I have been driving everyhting from E30, E34, E39, E38, E46, E90 and finally F01.

While I can say that BMW is my most cherished car brands I thought I could just from time to time participate in your local and rather international discussions.

For the last weeks I have been studying your forum and figured out that there seem to be some major differences between Germany and the US in terms of BMW-works. Where e.g. you guys are desperately looking for parts Germans would just check for the local scrapyard.

So I thought...

If I can contribute with some detailed knowledge and a certain "German perspective" to topics just let me know.

Es ist gut, jemanden auf der Hand, dass geboren und ist aufgewachsen mit der Marke BMW haben, muss es amüsant zu sehen und zu hören von den Kämpfen, die nicht EU-Besitzer durch in ihrem Leben gehen mit ihren Auserwählten zu reiten.

Its good to have someone on hand that is born and raised with the BMW marque, It must be amusing to see and hear of the struggles that non european owners go through in their life with their chosen ride.

So in your travels to the wreckers, what do you see? Maybe put up some photos of what is being trashed in the land of BMW taxis.
