| Great Site! Hello everyone! I got my first impression of BMW when I was thirteen years old on the interstate, my Dad and me was passes by a cute blond in a 318 convertable. She was flying about 90 mph, we tried to keep up but it was no use. Whenever my Dad see's my BMW's he always jokes that I'm still chasing that blond. LOL. I enlisted in the Air Force and was assigned to Belgium, I of course went searching for my first BMW, a 1980 525i. It was worn out but still ran fine, I drove the hell out of that car and saved for my first new one a 2000 323i I bought brand new in Bitburg Germany. We still have it to this day. I also own a X5 I bought used in Denver, both cars are currently in storage because I'm assigned to Japan and shipping a car here is nearly impossible. Anyway I'm really not happy with anything else but BMW, so with both of mine stateside I found a 97 328 convertable downtown that I think I'm gonna buy, never owned a ragtop before should be exciting. The guy at the dealer went to lower the top for me and it needed help, so I found some articles here on problems related to the tops getting stuck. Great site with good information... Regards Mike |
