Greetings to all you can call me Dazza I have just joined your forum, I own a 1996 E36 323I auto also a 1985 E30 323I manual fully option with factory lowered suspension. I have joined your forum for some assistance and also to be of assistance if I can. I am a mechanic and have done all my own repairs on my 2 BMW's as well as others. I have just completed the M50 manifold swap and am very happy with the extra horses up top, but have noticed quite a drop in torque in the lower RPM range. I have done a lot of research on this and found not a lot of help in regards to the E36 323I for software options to remap the ECU without spending a couple of grand I have a friend in Adelaide who is willing to dyno my BMW if I can find the software to do-it and this is where I need some assistance if I can ask. I know this may appear to be rude at such a time being a new guy to your forum I hope you will forgive me I look forward to any help.

A drop in torque output may be associated with a decrease in intake manifold velocity, best of luck!

I have driven to Yamba just to get a hamburger when I was younger, and used to love the playground at Monash, before it ws made politically correct, not much good in a thunderstorm though.

I have only been in the Riverland since mid 2005 before that I was in Coober Pedy

The Riverland is not a bad part of the world, definitely more water than Coober Pedy, a couple of hours to Adelaide, and some decent fishining within a stones throw.

So what do you do in Mount Waverley I am gathering that part of the world is nice country if I am wrong please correct me

I live here, but work in Ivanhoe. Mt Waverley & Glen Waverley are both nice established "green" suburbs, plenty of parks, trees etc

I would say that the manifold maybe accepting MORE air without the extra fuel to burn it... Maybe get "Hotter" spark plugs too !!

thanks for the advice can you get a hotter plug for these being Iridium

If it was running too lean wouldn't it throw an error code from the O2 sensors?

hi Brettski well one would expect this but no error codes have come up
