engine cut out at 3800 rpm

I have a 89 325i vert, everything is good until I reach about 3800 rpm's then the engine has a power loss. I have checked the fuel pressure regulator, the full throttle switch and the mass air flow sensor, no luck so far, any ideas on what I should do next

Could be :

coil

camshaft sensor

crankshaft sensor

Im not sure what of the above sensors you have but one controls the injectors and the other the spark.

computer input or computer failure if it is software/electrical.

Broken valve spring if it is mechanical.

Those would be my first 2 things to run down along with what has already been mentioned above.
