 e39 28 se coroded rear brake lines
hello all. has anyone ever attempted to replace rear brake lines ? i own a 97 e39 28se and have been told that for my next m.o.t they will need replacing {apparently a common problem } trouble is the guy at the test station has said that the fuel tank (cell ) will need to be removed and possibly the prop shaft.. i,m no wus but before i dive in has anyone attempted this repair ? apparently it,s only a small section that has corroded so i was toying with the idea of cutting the bad sections out and just replacing that section.has anyone got the outer diameter of the brake pipe so i can source what i need. (i know i,m being a tad idle cos i could stick my head underneath and get my vernier gauge out , but it,s october in england and raining !!!! ) thanks guys...mark
