Converting to US Specs

Considering purchasing a 2000, 318I touring w/166,000 kms, German Specs. Does anyone know how much it would cost to convert to US specs and if it is even worth it?

Question is how you define "being worth it". In monetary terms maybe not. Yet, in idealistic terms most likely.

If you really like and want the car do it. Costs will be somewhere > 1,000 USD at best...
