convertible hood trouble

Hi every 1 i have a major problem with my 328i convertible i cant get the hood down and with all this luvvely weather we are avin u can c my problem it was gettin stuck so we disengaged motors, then reengaged them as shown on you tube (very helpful) it worked once when i tried to open it again it just stuck so i had to close it by hand everything is as it should be hood is down,motors are reengaged but the light is flashing on the dash and it wont open or close This is not good as hubby says if i cannot get a solution from you guys it has got 2 go to bmw no not at £62.87 per hr plz sun 1 help me .

Hi yea both motors reengaged i have taken it to BMW this mornin now im am tryin 2 get a loan if you no wot i mean £££££.Perhaps if i flutter my eyelashes i mite get it a bit cheaper ha ha ha

I think it's a simple fix - motors prolly just did not engage correctly :-(

may be a micro switch isnt being touched everytime i put the top down i have to pull on the third bow its a pain in the ass but its simple enough to get the micro switch going

Hi got me car back 2 day not as bad as i thought cost me £73.88 that was mostly labour costs coz the part i needed cost a whopping great big 36p yea it was a FUSE doh!! 1 had a small fracture in, my hubby looked at the fuses but they all looked ok.He wants to no are all the fuses located under the bonnet or are there any anywhere else ? Thank u all for all your suggestions that you gave me this is 1 very happy lady 2 get her car bak cheers :~)
