Hello Everyone:

I'm happy to be apart of this forum. I have a 95 525i with about 232,000 miles on it. I've had my BMW for about 8 years now. The only problem that I'm having now is the ticking noise from the engine. I've tried the Lucas oil treatment on two oil changes now and the problem still persists. I would appreciate any help that I can get.

It may need some valve train service; if it has a timing chain, I'd also have the tensioner checked.

I agree with witeshark......ticking is usually related to the valve train.
Some times it could also be an exhaust leak, so check that & make sure threre are no small leaks in & around the engine header/exhaust manifold area.
