I do not know how to ask this any other way...

I found a hardtop for a BMW convertible. I know it will fit a 1988 325 c, but I have a 1996 318i. How can I know if it will fit?

I need to find a hardtop for mine. Too cold and Noisey!!!

Lost job so trying to make the old girl my main car to sell my monthly-payment on truck.

It will not fit; the 88 car is an E30, the 96 is an E36. Those are different monocoque chassis's.

She old, but still runs well, and being out of work, I need to dump my payment on my truck and get back to simple.

Trouble is in winter here.... the cold and noise for all the driving.

I don't need a like-new one. It could look like crap!
