BMW320d DDE warning light - BMW Forum

Hi BMW lovers,
I have a 320d auto, 2003, which is excellent, however I stupidly ran out of diesel fuel recently and when I filled up again, the DDE warning light did not go out a it normally should. Anyone know why, and how do I get it off? The engine seems fine so I assume nothing is wrong. Help and advice please.

Hi! Welcome to the site...how about try to remove the battery then put it back again. Maybe just had some wiring problem. Not sure. Perhaps someone else can help...

I have tried disconnecting battery but it didn't work and I now need to recode my radio but can't find the code. lol.

i have the same with my e34 525tds 1997 .it runs poor too the book says its in safe mode ? how do we reset cheapley
