BMW E46 engine wont start

My 2001 BMW 330CI e46 The last week my car sometime wont start when I turn ignition key to start not thing happen and keep try It will start the battery good even put the jumper it still wont start some time Itake key off and reinsert try again the car start I think some thing wrong with ignition key switch electrical problem. Someone know the problem please help. Thanks. NV

Possibly due to the EWSII security. Your key might be faulty.. or the pickup for it.

If the computer cant match the key to the computer, it will not start.

Might be an idea to check with the dealer for a replacement key.
