 bmw 520 manual 1st gear jerking anyone out there please.
Hi everyone i have a brain teaser for you all and hope someone can shed some light as this is rediculasly doing my head in!!!
I just brought an 2003 520 bmw e39 which has 125k on the clock.
the car is superb in every way as an ex mechinic i did all the check before i brought the car but one thing i over looked is the clutch control of this car
At first i thought i just need to get use to it but now its been almost three weeks and i can assure you its not me.
The problem is that every time i go pull away the car jerks almost like if i was a new driver ! and shifting it in second once again the same but less.
Now theres a way i can control this 90% of the time but i need to remember to do this every time i am stationary, this is done by revving it higher then normal nothing like a normal car, which is annoying because it almost seems i am revving up to race!
I took it to the local dealers where he came across this but said that these cars liked to be revved a little which seemed a bit strange.
please please please can some one help otherwise i will be left with no choice but to sell the car! |
