Hello! My first post. My problem happens when I round a sharp curve with some speed. My power steering goes off! Dealer and Private mechanic can't figure this one out. Always get check antilock brakes light in dash. When they scan computer notthing really identifies the problem. Also I think a related problem is that I get antilock brakes noise and feel on pedal when I start out after starting car early in A.M. Shouldn't need antilock brake going slowly on flat smooth road. Any ideas on this problem would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Does the power steering issue vary depending on whether you are turning left or right? What are the symptoms when the power steering goes off?
I think that the ABS unit will do an initialisation pulse when you first start moving off after starting the car, but it should only be once and it is usually for less than a second.
