| Best way to start out.. ... is with a question.
As you may have noticed I am new here. I was referred here by a friend of mine who owns an m5, said the place is alright if you're looking for technical help.
I own an E36 M3, lowered, aftermarket suspension, brakes, exhaust, and I swapped the auto tranny it had for a manual. My garage is like heaven, and I'm pretty much an angel under the hood, but, I'm having this damn knock ever since I blew one of my tires racing my buddie's E46 M3 at a track a while ago. My car spun out of control, but I replaced the tire and everything was looking alright until I drove around the block a couple times.
I can't diagnose what's wrong but it get's worse at higher speeds. I even (heaven forbid) took it to a 'professional' mechanic and he had the same answer I had. Nothing.
The only thing he could think of doing was taking apart that area of the car piece by piece to find out what it could be.
Any suggestions at where to start? I don't need to do any more surgery, really don't want to, but if I need to I guess I will. |
