Almost a new owner - BMW Forum

Hey all,

I'm new to the forum (lurked a bit) and looking to get into the BMW scene. I've long admired them but was never in the position to drive a RWD year round. Moving next month will finally change that!

I had my heart set on a E39 540i and supercharge it. I love the way they look and it seems to have a great base for good power. After scouring this, and other, forums I noticed the M5's aren't that much different price wise, and look even better but I haven't been able to come across anyone with either a turbo or supercharger on one of them. Then I came across some turbo'd 528's and coming from the DSM world, I have to say I am somewhat partial to turbo's.

Welcome to the Werkz. There was one member a while back that had a 96 740 that was supercharged, and apparently that went like a cut cat, good luck with your choice and make sure you post plent of progress photos of the conversion.
