hello... im new to this site and to bmw's but not the car scene. i built a bunch of hondas and some subies and was thinking of getting into bmw after a couple of friends got some as their daily drivers.

my question is... whats the best platform to start off from? model/engine? my goal is a beautiful daily driver that down the road i can build on. i cant keep any car stock for long.

i like the mid 90's styling and there affordable for me now.

any advise or input is very much welcome. thanks guys

If you say, you like "modding" & "upgrading" & can't any car stock... check out my car on the link below......purchased the car stock in 1/07 started upgrading & never looked back.......page 2 shows the car stock in 2007.
