95 325i AC Problems

My 1995 325i Sport was recently put back into service to replace my gas-guzzlin Tahoe as the commuter car. However I quickly remembered that one of the last issues that I had before grounding it was poor AC. I hear the AC blowing hard and the air that makes it out of the vents is cold. However, the velocity and volume is very low. I've read about stepper motors and all kinds of things but I don't know if any of these fixes apply to my model or my problem. How can I increase the flow of air from my center vents?

Lightbulb

air ducts to the dashboard vents are probably not in place, and then looking at whether your blend doors open correctly will be next area of suspicion if air ducts are in place. you don't need to look at stepper motors. original blowers work fine.

Thanks for the info DH, but the obvious next question is how do I determine if the air ducts are in place or if the blend doors are open?
