Welcome to the werkz. The 528xi is a very comfortable ride. At 43,000 you shouldn't have to really worry about anything besides regular oil changes but when u get closer to 60k is when you have your first big maintenance check up.

Thanks for that info appreciate the feedback thats good to know, is it true that oil changes are every 6,000 miles?

For newer vehicles yes but personally I change my oil every 3-4k to keep the engine running strong and it also reduces wear and improves longevity of the engine.

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz.

Pelican Parts.com has several excellent articles on maintenance as well as a maintenance scedule as required by BMW. I change my oil every 5,000k.

Might want to check out bobistheoilguy.com. Lots of data, including used oil analyses based on different makes and service intervals.

I just got a 2008 BMW xi and would like to know the next time I fill up for gas can I input fuel injector cleaner for better gas and engine performance and if so what is the best brand?

Some Fuel injector cleaners are stp or Lucas oil and if ur looking for octane boost some good ones are stp, nos or Lucas oil again try any of those and the can be find in any auto store.

Sorry Ivan, but I wouldnt put any of those in my car.

The only one I would use is Chevron Techron. Its the only additive that has been scientifically proven by an independent third party lab to actually work as intendend.

Heres the Wikipedia link to it, but check out BobIsTheOilGuy Forums for detailed information. Their is tons of information about it.
