Hello. I'm new to the form and new to BMW. About 8 weeks ago I purchased an 89 325i convertable that didn't run. I think daddy had fixed it up for daughter to drive here to Colorado, she didn't like driving the "old" car and blew the engine. Daddy owned a body shop so the body and interior are excellent. He added new tires, brakes ,clutch, redid the transmission. I found that number one piston was no longer connected to the crankshaft. A new to me engine has been installed, and it runs really well. Car is fun but needs suspention work. That is going to wait till it warms up some. It's been cold here in the mountians of Colorado the past frew weeks. Like-25 to -38 in the mornings. About the only thing I screwed up in the engine swap was the little wire clips that hold the electrical connectors togother. Any ideas for replacements? Thanks.......Jetsam

A couple places you could check out for new clips are Bimmerspecialist.com, and PelicanParts.com.
Thanks for the reply. I'll check out those sites tomorrow as the wife will be in Denver and I'll have all day to goof off. It warmed up some today (+2) this morning. I'll be in the garage cleaning out the car and prepping mine for a road trip to Vegas for the International Builders Show. Jetsam
