320D hard Start

Hi to veryone out there. i am new to he forums and need help.
I recently bought a 2003 E46 BMW 320d. Lately it has developed starting problems. initially it just took a little more time to start and now it takes several attempts befor it fires up. sometimes not at all. BMW Diagnostics shows up as " 4B90 DDE - rail pressure plausibility" and "4560 DDE- Rail pressure low at startup" Any ideas or anybody knoews what has worked?
Any help will be much apprecited.

Has the fuel filter been changed?

Yes, I did change the fuel filter after posting this thread. it has brought down the cranking time considerably but the problem still looms. I am guessing on the injectors. What you think>
