Hey all, this is my first visit and thread.....loads of great info, but i cant get an answer on my issue. i just got my first BM, I have a multi changer in my glove box a single in the dash. The car came with an empty 2004/2 dvd box with business nav on it. i got an updated disc which doesnt work. on my `home page` on the i drive i dont have navigation on the right side only `bord info`. Do i therefore not have sat nav???????? I cannot seem to take off the air circulation off ` auto` so i cant direct the air to the vents independantly..... same detail with the heated seats.....no buttons on the dash, but ` apparant` controls thru i drive to adjust temp? is my i drive knackered or do i not have these options?
any help greatly appreciated.
cheers all.......very cold in uk!!!;
I just wanted you to check or clarify, your saying you have a changer in the box, but only 1 disc slot in the dash?
If that slot is not specifically labeled as a DVD slot on the right side, and only has 1 button for ejecting then you most likely don't have a navi.
On my E60 545i, there are 2 slots in the center dash, one upper one for CD's to listen to, the lower one is that DVD slot for my navi disc.
The heated seats buttons will be two little button in the center dash area, but at the very bottom, where it meets the plate for the shift console. If they are not there, then you probably dont have the option.
as for the ac stuck in auto, my car glitches once in a while, but always fixes its self if I turn off the car for a few seconds. Sorry dont have any info to help on this. idrive is just glitchy sometimes.
HMUCHMO1 - As u suggested i dont think i have the navi.....luckily it wasnt advertised as having it, but i got excited when i saw the empty nav case in the glove box. Same detail with the heated seats. The auto setting on the i drive however isnt on when i turn the aircon on, only the normal venting. i have control when the aircon is active....ill go to my local bmw gge and see if they will update some of the soft ware.
id be greatfull for any tips / etc for the 5 series.....as i said its my first beema, and so far its a solid drive especially for a 5 yr old motor.....thanks again all.
