 2004 Bwm 330xi
Hi, I'm new and searching for a little help. For about six months I have been having a noise in the rear end. The noise occurs when traveling over 65 mph, most always after I've decelerated while coming over a hill. When I accelerate coming onto level road, a whump sound comes from the rear or maybe toward the center of the car. Sometimes it lasts for 2 seconds (whump) and sometimes for 5-6 seconds (whuuuuump). I certainly don't know anything about cars, but it sorta reminds me of slack runnning in or something. It doesn't happen every time, but enough to make me nervous. Several months ago, the dealership kept it for 2 days and couldn't get it to make the noise. Right after that I got new tires and didn't notice the noise for about a month. Just went on a pretty long trip and it happened numerous times. Sure hope someone can give me some ideas what this could be. |
