Angry 2003BMW 525i

Had my 525i for a few years and recently noticed that front winshield rubber trims are totally falling apart. Can I change this myself ? I am pretty handy and mechanically inclined. Does anyone know the procedures for replacing the trims ?? Also, during heavy showers the rear footwell behind the driver gets very wet..can't find the source of the water..Help....

1. Yes, you can replace your own windshield wipers.

2. The water in the passenger footwell is most likely caused by missing or compromised vapor barriers on the doors. Often, when BMW techs work on window regulators or other items inside of doors, they will take off the factory moisture barrier and then fail to replace it with a new barrier. One cannot reuse the old one. If this isn't taken care of properly, people often wind up with water in the footwell.
