My ac and heat had been working intermittently for about six months and it just completely stopped working. The compressor sounds like it come but no air comes out at all. Only a little. Bit of cool air comes out but quickly stops. I have had all the fuses checked so I was wondering what the problem might be. I am a girl I would just like to have an idea of what's wrong before I take it to the shop so I don't get taken for a ride.. any help would be much appreciated

It may be that the system needs to be regassed, some of the sensors or the compressor itself. I'd start with a AC specialist shop and get them to check the pressure in the system. Most places will do this for a fairly low price (if not free). Regassing the system (if it is low) shouldn't cost that much, and may give back the chilly air you are looking for.
