there is only one way BMW oil pumps fail, and thats IF that nut backs off....BMW did their part...its reversed threaded...it is a common failure point if they fail..it took 10 seconds to prevent any chance of catastrophic failure...OCD? Yes...absolutely...but i dont want to be one of the ones posting up "omgz...oil pump failurz ftl"
Update: Oil pan mounted now...also installed the dipstick tube...started tightening things up a big...coming along...

this biotch is just about done gotta either drop the e21 brake booster off at the machine shop for shortening of the rod or pick up a MKI Rabbit booster
