E34 Zf gear box swap plug difference

Hi again all

Just put a 1994 M50 vanos engine and box in a 1991 M50 non vanos

I am getting trans program, so I have noticed I am useing the vanos loom, yet the non vanos has the gear box loom on the car.

but the plug is different, both look like they have 14 pins, yet the later box has a larger connector

is there an adapter available, or do I just cut the wires and solder the new plug to the cars wires?
