Hi
Dont know whether you can help.
Overnight, my partner washed my trousers, sadly with the key still in the pocket, the door would not unlock the next day.
Got a replacement key from BMW. I can get in the boot and under the bonnet, but I think the problem is mechanical, not electrical.
Conversations with BMW suggested that the car had, for whatever reason, deadlocked itself.
Looking on the internet, there seems no resolution is available. I talked to a local BMW specialist who had a similar car in his stock - he had taken out the windscreen to gain access to the door handles, but even sitting inside pulling the handles would not open the doors.
Over the last few weeks, I have had everybody from a local fireman to a (reformed) car thief try and get inside without damaging the car and all have failed. I find it hard to believe that BMW could have designed a lock where, if it failed, the only method of access is by virtually destroying the door.
Any ideas?
