This is an M52B25 stroked out to 3.0L with an S50 cylinder head. Yes an S50 head will fit on an M50, but you're better off just getting the S50 cams.

Read about my Frankenmotor Project and see how an M50 becomes an S50!!!

No, don't worry. It's cool. I'm taking it back for us.

Can you please make a full list of all the parts you used? I will be doing something along these lines when I get out of school and start getting some money. The AA engine that they build put down 245 to the rear wheels. Here is a link.

What do you think you are going to put down?

Similar numbers to an E36 M3 with headers and all the mods I'm going to have.

I would rather not have to list everything, but pm me when it's time for your project and I'll guide you in the right direction.

I reccommend going to Bimmerforums.com - The Ultimate BMW Forum and going to the parts for sale section, they regularly have S50 cams for $400 shipped as a set.

So Trig would something like a new exhaust system, intake, s50 cams, with software for those mods net decent gains on a 325? I dont know about under drive pulleys, do htey make a good difference? When I finally get around to my auto to manual swap I would probably use a lightweight flywheel of some type also..

if ever i have the money ill look into that..i also found them somewhere else for pretty cheap..but not as cheap as $400 pair shipped... i like the sound of that.
What sort of gain/advantage am I looking at with the S50 cams?

S50 cams on M50 w/remapped software for the cam if you already have a chip is about another 12hp...S52 cams can be moded to work and they net 18-20 i believe...but again more work and way more money
