E34 vanos into Non Vanos car

hi one and all, first thread so I'll make it a good un

righty o, my mate blew his Non vanos E34 525 up, and the box on mine is knackered, so I have bought a 520 manual, and have given him my 525 vanos engine.
in the control unit housing, there is a plug on the vanos loom that has 10 wires, and the reciprocating plug on the non vanos loom has 8 wires

I'm sure some one on here has put a vanos into a non vanos car, can any one shed some light on what needs to be done?

this plug is on the strip that holds the realys in said housing box.

thanks in advance, Pawl
