1987 635 csia idle & stalling problem

I have a 1998 M3 but I'm trying to help a friend that has a 1987 635 csia coupe I'm not sure if its classified as a M car but maybe someone has experience with this problem.
The car will run fine but after a few minutes the car would start shaking on idle and die out its been doing this for quite some time and we had taken it to some shops but still can't fix it pls help or direct me to correct link on where I can try and find a solution to the problem

Tnx

That sounds like a fuel problem, check all fuel filters or put a new one in the line, or it maybe a coil problem, as one it reaches a temp it cuts out.

After it dies see if you still have a spark ( the minute it dies )

It dies when it is warm? could be the temp sender to the ECU and no the 635csi/a is not an m car it is just a normal six series could be the main relay going to

thanks for the info about it not being a M car too because my friend who owns the car keeps telling me its a M car LOL!!! so it could also be temp sensor going to the ECU or which relay that is going bad

^ lol is it an ///M635CSi/a ? then it WOULD be an ///M car but would still not be technically an M6... A pic of the Rear and the engine bay would solve it and i can tell you what it is
