M3 shock help, Koni?

1995 M3, I know that I definitely want coil over shocks, but what is a really good brand? I was looking at the koni coil over kit featured on tirerack. Even though I always thought koni was one of the best I definitely want to do my research before I buy anything. Please help me decide on a really nice kit. Keep in mind I do track my car, but I want to be able to drive it on the street as well, Thanks

koni is an great company, I've not heard much about their BMW applications though. I know that the bilstein PS-9 and their other kit are exceptional and have heard nothing but great reviews of their BMW coilover kits. They are a bit costly though, both are around $1,000. The more expensive kit gives you more fine tuning adjustment options.

We have been really happy with Koni and Bilstein.

Both are available on our site in spring and strut combos or just struts alone:

I actually had the Bilstein PSS9's on my last car (a Jetta) and they were awesome for smooth, track like roads. However, they were incredibly rough. I have Koni's, not coilovers, on my M3 and they are amazing, smooth enough for the daily driving yet sporty enough for spirited driving and auto-x and light track usage. I've heard good things about Ground Control but no experience with them.

If you want the best and money isn't an issue get the KW Variant 3 coil-overs. Adjustable ride height with adjustable compression and rebound dampening on the shocks/struts.
