M3 Emissions Inspection - BMW Forum

Hi
I have an 06 M3 that is due for Virginia emissions inspection and it FAILED! I took it back to the dealer and they don't really know what is wrong with it. They dumped the computer software and reloaded the software, told me to drive it for 500 miles and try the inspection again. Has anyone else experienced this problem??

8,200miles?!?!?! that thing it like new! the dealership SHOULD cover it if you have a warranty.....

The dealership will cover the cost, however they don't know what the problem is to be able to fix it. That's why I posted this to see if anyone else has experienced this same problem. Thanks anyway though!

i was expecting alot more miles...... yeah i dont know... any check engine light? or lack of performance

it would be nice if you could post the emissions report.
