How would a 95 M3 hold up?

Hey guys just wondering. My friend has an 86 Iroc Z-28. He just dropped a 350 in it last year. and he is getting a 6 spd. tranny in it. I don't know anything about the gearing or anthing but he things it will smoke my M.. Will I be ok or will I have to def. take him to the twisties to beat him ? Previous owner said he took a 99 Camaro SS. but I dunno what do the know it alls think?

Unless you go FI, those old school American muscle cars can smoke you in a straight line. The suspension of his car sucks stock, though, so around a track I doubt it would be a contest unless he's really juiced the 350.

I dont even know what kind of power a 350 crate motor makes, but it seems to be the most popular swap..

Idunno I've road in it and I didn't think it was that impressive. He had a 305 in it before it is was stupid slow. He got beat by a cobalt SS if that means anything to any of you. Think the M would take a cobalt I hope so if not I might cry myself to sleep tonight. :* (

True. But his ///M should be able to take the Cobalt. As for the Camaro itd waste you in the straights. Plus cars like that gain stupid amounts of power from bolt ons. Intake, and exhaust would prolly give him like 15-20hp. Find a place with some decent turns. But in all honesty, hit the track, so no one ends up dead

EDIT: Teh yerrow cars are owning this thread son

depends on what kind of 350 it is. gm made alot of ones that werent too powerful too. and i used to own a 3rd gen 305 camaro. it made 170hp and 255lbs of torque and had about an 8 second 0-60 time. but i was going to get a gm zz crate motor for it for about 5k installed which would have given me around 355hp. so if he has something like that then he will kill you. but if its a 350 from another iroc or something you should be ok, they had about 240hp max. f-bodies are fun cars though.
