I've been looking for a 1995 M3 for about two years now. I recently came upon a 1995 M3 with 88 000 miles. She has 18's and a 1999 interior. I had a quick look at her yesterday and going for a test today. The owner is asking 12K CAD$ for it. Hasn't seen any winters and it's the original spray.
Is it over-priced? What should I look for when inspecting the vehicle apart from sub-frame failure in the back?
Thank you in advance.

12k canadian is lik 9-10k USD right? Price sounds good, primarily because of the lwoer mileage. That's about 9k miles driven a year. Looks good. Get a carfax on it and take a look at it in person before someone else buys it.

Well the first round of negotiations have ended and we're at $11500. Haven't test driven her cause the owner doesn't want to drive her in the rain. You guys should see this thing. I can eat off it.
My carfax subscription ends on the 21st, so if you want me to run it for u... LMK

1997 Dodge Neon
Peeling paint on the roof, THREE SPEEEEEED Automatic Tranny, A/C Deleted (well actually it just jammed up and I am too cheap too fix it)
Finally got to see her. See the attached pictures. She's a little rough around the edges. Interior needs some work. Headliner is sagging, steering wheel is all messed up.. the cover is coming off but very clean 99 Vader seats. Nose piece is dented but he has a replacement. Front bumper missing the brake ducts and the mesh grill. Engine head has been re-done (it was blown last year) as well as a new clutch. She has no rust. This is my problem, do I keep my very clean 325is with 245000 kms or sell her for a not so clean M3 with 89000 Miles or 143000 kms? The rims are replica M3 18s from Fastwheels (fast.ca). Tires are new. Shocks, brakes, RSMs, bearings and bushings all done.
If the Carfax checks out I'm getting her inspected on Tuesday.
Test drive was good. No vibrations (at 180 km/h) and no noises.
His price is now 11K CAD$ nego.

That car was probably crashed before. It might nto even be on Carfax, and I dont know if Canadian cars would be on carfax as it is.
Here's the problem witht he front. He crashed it. The hood isnt straight. The nose panel isnt straight. He bought a new frotn bumper. Didnt buy the sport lip it was supposed to come with. It has the sport side skirts. He didnt buy any of the mesh grill or brake ducts because he cheaped out. And it's probable he totalled the wheels also which is why he has new wheels and tires on it. Sounds sketchy, i'd stay away or get a really good mechanic to check it out prior to buying. May have been a bent frame.
