sunroof only opens halfway.

Hey all.. My sunroof only opens half way.. I see alot of people have problems with it closing and such that isn't my issue.. Mine doesn't want to open all the way. It goes back about 6 or 7 inches.. and then it stops like something is blocking it from movng all the way.. Any body tell me whats up.. thanks

Are you sure you arent pushing the button the wrong way? If you push it forward once the sunroof is fully closed it attempts to tilt up the sunroof instead of open it.

When it does that, it opens the headliner part about 7 inches or so and stops. If thats the case and the top isnt tilting up, there are a few parts that commonly break in the sunroof mechanism that are each under $25.

Or....are you only pushing the button once and releasing? This will cause the roof to only function half-way. If you want it fully opened you have to hold the button for a moment...
