So what's the deal with SMG. From what year to what year did the M3 have SMG I as an option? or what year did they switch to SMG II? and did SMG I have the paddle shifters or is that only on SMG II cars?

The U.S never got the smgI. A euro thing that was offered on the 36 m3, but don't qoute me on it.

Every SMG car has the paddles. But the SMG offered in the e36 m3, is nothing like any of the other smg programs.
