Whats up fellas im new to the forums, although I've had a bimmer since 96'. I just picked up a 98 E36 4dr M3. Now this maybe a noobie question but i've got to ask since its annoying me. I could have swore redline is 7000 rpm on this car but its seems to be switching of in different gears . 1st gear 6500 2nd 7000 3rd 6750 and im not too clear on the last 2 gears anyone else come across this? is it normal?

Sweet thanks anyways..... Anyone with a 96-98 e36 m3 help me out ? Im coming to belevie its normal I guess... still not sure.
ghead Sorry about that stupid question, after going to LACR (a quarter-mile drag strip) last night I realized that I shouldnt be pushing it past 6500...... but anyhow I put down some good numbers last night, best time for me was a 15.4 even though my friend who is better shifter put down 15.2 wiith me in the car !! not bad considering stock 350Zs were hitting 15.2's, also this is at about 9000 elevation and my car is stock as well..... and thanks for the replies fellas
