Hey guys, I have a bunch of pictures from the New York Auto Show this past weekend. It was held at the Javits Center in New York City on Saturday March 26th. I went up for the weekend and stayed with my sister. But here are the pics I got of the new M5...I have a bunch of pictures of new, old, and concept cars if someone is willing to host them for me.
The new M5 will be coming to the US as a 2006 model. Does anyone know what it will cost? Nice pics man. Read the pinned thread in the members lounge about bmw-forums hosting (on penguinstudios.com, courtesy of Harry, aka komodo9).
I was also at the autoshow this past weekend in NYC. I went on the first Friday. I happen to think the show was pretty much the exact same thing as last year. One of the only reasons I went was because I wanted to see the new M5 and the new 3-series. The M5 was worth going all-together. Don't get me wrong, it is probably the best auto show in the United States but last year was the strong year for them when they made all the changes. This year did have more hybrid cars, and that is all. If you are crazy about seeing the new M5, go for it!
The new Bentley Flying Spur was there (4 door Continental GT), Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, and F430. 2006 Dodge Viper. The entire Cadillac V-series. New Hummer H1 Alpha series, and H3 (which sucks). A couple of concept cars. The Beemers, SLR Mclaren was there, the Corvette, new Ford Mustang GT500, and the Rouch cars (F-150 and Focus). There was alot of good stuff there.
All types of cars were there. If you haven't been there in the past 2 years, it is definitly worth taking the trip from Rhode Island because they changed the whole make up of the car show last year. Cars ranging from Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Saleen, Porsche, etc including lower priced companies like Volkswagen, Nissan, Toyota, Scion, etc. There are also SUV's and all including Land Rover (Range Rover), Cadillac, Ford, Chevrolet, etc. I would go take a look if you have a chance. Also, definitly check out the Jeep setup they made. It is pretty cool.
thanks a lot, i appreciate your help, i will devinetly go.
man, all the local auto shows we had were boring, with the exception of the benz stuff, other than that, it was mostly GM ghead
