Hi good people,

I really REALLY hope you can help. My 1990 M5 has a flat battery and I can't get in. I locked it remotely including deadlocks, went on holiday and now I can't get in any of the doors, boot or bonnet ! Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated.

ok... its either the drivers door or the passengers... try both.. but lift the handel.. and then turn the key.. its the manual lock release... I'm not sure if you put the key in before you lift the handel then turn.. or if you lift then insert the key and then turn.. just make sure you keep the handel lifted while you turn... try it out.. and reply back if it works or not... it should..

Just happened the same to me on mine. You could try first putting the key in , lift the handle and turning both clockwise and anticlockwise the key. Hopefully after long minutes...it should come (can take up to a nice hour patience). Personnally I heard that through Munich Legends in UK but it didnt work for me...so i ended smashing the driver side window and replace it by any second hand e34 window as they are all the same. If you smash the window though...tape it (that will avoid bits of glass everywhere in the car). that is all i can say. Take 20 minutes to smash and replace the window if you know what you are doing.
