Just thought I would post on here - I have just traded my H2 in on an M3 SMG convertable - I love the car so far - never owned a BMW before and I am impressed.
I test drove a Porsche 911 Carrera S4, a Jaguar XKR and the M3.
The M3 was the cheapest of the three but the one that I liked the best.
I dont have the same view that I got from the H2 but I do have as big a grin as I did when I picked up the H2 a couple of years ago.

Why didn't you consider the M5, if you were thinking about a Porsche 911 and an Jaguar XKR?
The Hummer H2 is nice, but seems similar to GMC Denali or Suburban interior. What were your options when you ultimately decided on the H2?
Yes, you did make a wonderful decision in choosing an M.
Congrats 2" class="inlineimg" /> , and I hope you enjoy that car more than ever!
No - I didnt drive the 6spd manual - the SMG was the only one I tested - it made more sense to me - my wife has no experience with manual and being in South Florida - the need for a manual was a bit of a moot point - you cant really drive that agressively when you are dodging fluffy heads all the time.
I didnt look at an M5 either - I have always been a bit of an impulse purchaser and I liked the M3 - maybe I should have looked at an M5 - but the M3 that I looked at was the same colour scheme as the Scottish flag - white exterior - blue leather interior and blue soft top - couldnt resist it.
As for the H2 - that thing was awsome - I drove Landrovers all my life in Scotland before moving to the States and I was on my way to a Landrover dealer when I passed the Hummer dealer on the way - I stopped in loved it and bought it on the spot - I took the thing offroad many times and was more than impressed with it - there is no better all round offroad vehicle on the market - I just didnt have much use for it down here.
