I have found a good deal, I think. 1995 M3, Alpine white, with gray leather, but has a rebuilt engine. The body itself has 180,000 miles on it, and the rebuilt engine has 40,000 miles on it. The suspension components have been upgraded to Koni, and the engine has a dinan chip, and dinan CAI. I could purchase the car for around $10,000. I am going to look at the car today, but just based on what I know already, how does it sound? Should I keep looking, I don't want to but it, and then find out that it's all screwed up. Thank you.
Oh, and if somebody could run a Carfax for me I would greatly appreciate it.

First... about your carfax... post a topic in the Lounge regarding your car fax.. and someone should help you... just post something like a topic title.. "need car fax"...
As for the bimmer... 40k on a rebuilt engine... not too bad.. and 180 on the body.. get her on a lift.. and check out the subframe.. take her for a sprinted drive.. see how she works... as for the price... that is a good price for a M... considering the mileage of the body.. if she is in good shape.. and a good wax job would make her look great.. thats a good price... provided the engine runs good...
Good Luck.. and if you want more information on the M.. just do a search.. you'll find pleanty...
Thanks for not hating on me because I'm new, and telling me where to go for the car fax. I'm going to check it out today at 2. I'll keep you all posted. Later.
Thanks man, I'm just used to the VW and Honda forums. So, here's the deal. I drove the car today, and it was alright, pulls pretty damn hard, but I don't know that the trans was rebuilt with the engine, do you guys think it was, or should I ask him? Regardless, I'm sure that it needs a new clutch. Another thing, the interior was in good condition other than the seats. I would need all new Vader style seats, which I'm sure aren't cheap. Anyone know of a place I could get the seats? So, say I get it for 10, I would right away need to throw in another, say, 2,000, because I would be a fool to not get a lightweight flywheel when the new clutch would be installed. How does this sound, should I go for it?
Vaders you can find on bimmerforums people trade their seats around all the time. As all questions necessary. Make sure you get the car in good working order before throwing on mods. I screwed up spent all my money on mods. Needed things like spark plugs, oil filter etc.
