It's come to the point where my clutch now slips under any positive manifold pressure. It's pretty bad. We're talking tach skipping up 2k rpms.
I've done searches but i'm still a bit confused at the majority of all this nonsense. And I know you guys have seen a million billion clutch topics.
Let's get down to it. I'm broke.
Right now making a weinerish 300/300 whp wtq but we've all got plans for future power. So i'm looking for a clutch that could hold up to say 380-400whp/tq
Nothing too crazy fancy. Nothing too crazy expensive. Daily Driven.
I'm learning. What materials are availible. Advantages and disadvantages of different materials. "Pucks" and all that nonsense. I just need a good post by soemone to help me on this one. I'm calling Bimmerworld tomorrow. I need this ordered yesterday.
ill trade you, your turbo setup for a uuc lightweight flywheel and m3 clutch!

eric, just keep checking the classifieds and FI section on bf.c, ur bound to find something...and dont listen to noobcake, for a DD ltw flywheel is gona annoy the shit out of u
Why? i have DD'd almn flywheels for years and love it, i cant stand a slow revving heavy stock flywheel...have you ever driven a LTW clutch setup?
Word. The quick revs of a ltw flywheel are sweet and it's only a pain if you've driven a LTW flywheel car once. Onc eyou're used to it you have no problems. Just not ideal for turbo cars.
My buddy has a 8 lb flywheel in her e46 328 and she's great at driving it. Hand her boyfriend the keys and he'll struggle for a minute or so. It's just what you're used to.
thats the one i used on my room mates supercharged m3 when i built it, when used with his UUC flywheel. drives awesome, its the combo im gunna go for

Lightweight flywheel isn't exactly "ideal" for a turbo car. Great for N/A and s/c.
My choices have been trimmed down to a Clutchmasters Stage III Kevlar + new flywheel, all purchased from Bimmerworld. Or a Sachs Stage III. The Sachs is definetely cheaper but im big on company loyalty and Bimmerwolrd is amazing.
