Computer Reset ??

HEy fellas, Ever since I got my car back my computer hasn't worked it says please enter code or something stupid. I've heard people say take it to the dealer and they'll fix it. Is that like a 50$ deal there or will they put the code in for a reasonable price. Or could I call them and they'd fix me right up? thanks

The radio code? If so just pull the identification number off the bottom of the radio and I can look your code up for you.

Does your car start even though it asks for the code? It seems to me your CODE function on the OBC doesn't work anyways.

Basically the code mechanism functions to prevent auto theft. For example, you park. Turn your key to position 1, then hit CODE and punch in a 4 digit code of your choice. You remove the key. Next time you try adn start it it will not let you start the vehicle unless you punch in the 4 digit code.

The 4 digit code is punched in using the 1000, 100, 10, and 1 digits on the left side of the OBC. So the code is _ _ _ _

Say your code you set is 3758. To put in the code you first hit the 1000 button three times. then hit the 100 button seven times. then hit the 10 button five times, then hit the 1 button eight times.

If I give you this number will it tell me the things the computer is supposed to? I'm guessing things such as mpg and other info the number on the back of the Radio is ... (F40296035B) how that works thanks
