Im buying a used M3 pretty soon. Prefferly a low milages 2003 M3 around 20K miles is perfect. Whats a good price for a 2003 M3?? Im still debating between an 6speed manual or an SMG? Is the M3 SMG similiar to the 2004 330i S shift?? My wife drives the 2004 330i(auto) and I dont much like the S shift in her car. Its not smooth when changing gear. Or its me???? Thank you for your help guys.

the smg is not as smooth as a regular automatic but it is should be smoother than driving a manual, i would say buy a manual since it would be more fun, as far as price is concerned just look up some used m3's on autotrader.com and see what the most common prices are, have fun and good luck with which ever one you get

oh and the smg is deffinetely nothing like the s shift in the 330 i'm guessing steptronic is what you're talking about, smg has a hydrolically controlled clutch that is controlled by the computer,
